We need resources to deal with requests for money
This is in regard to the article “Be servants, not suckers, class leader says” in the Dec. 28 issue.
It seemed to me that it would be useful for conference churches to have some sort of brochure or handout on this topic that could be made available to church members. We encounter people all the time at major road intersections and in the parking lots of HEB or Walgreens. They ask for money on the basis of some story that sounds good but that are impossible to verify.
It would be very helpful to have a prearranged strategy for responding when we face these situations.
