Area churches to fight
hunger through walk

Austin District congregations are getting on board for the 2008 Austin CROP anti-hunger walk March 1-2 at the Roy Guerrero Colorado River Park in Austin. Congregations are signing up walkers and sponsors.
In 2007, 22 participating UM congregations raised more than $24,500 toward the event’s total of $123,517.
Those interested should talk to their pastor or mission chair about participating in Austin’s largest interfaith community event.
The Austin CROP Hunger Walk is a community fundraising event sponsored by Church World Service and Austin Area Interreligious Ministries.
