Animal wellness exams bring pet owners
to 5 Corpus Christi churches March 8

Veterinarians were on hand from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. March 8 at five United Methodist churches in Corpus Christi: Asbury, First, Grace, St. John’s and St. Luke’s.
Veterinarians provided free general health check-ups for animals as part of the Bring a Furry Feathered Friend event coinciding with the Southwest Texas Conference’s Bring a Friend Sunday outreach campaign the next day.
Pastors from each congregation prayed over and blessed visiting animals. All attendees were invited back for worship services March 9, Bring a Friend Sunday.
Church leaders say the event drew some visitors to church March 9. Leaders in each congregation plan to follow up with those who attended the March 8 event to invite them to worship services and let them know about any future events.
