Bishop Joel N. Martinez gives the Exemplar Award annually to lay-people selected by each district board of laity “for witness, commitment and service after the example of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
“You know you don’t often find me speechless,” Key said. “Today I’m speechless—and humbled.
“Bishop, I’m honored to accept this award because it will be your last (San Angelo District) Bishop’s Exemplar Award. It’s been my privilege to serve in this church and at the district and conference level.”
