Free medical services bring hope to patrons

The Mission of Mercy medical van visited Robstown Sept. 26.
Fifteen patients were provided quality medical services. Those included prescription medications.
A team of medical professionals led by Colleen Madigan provided the first free medical clinic to arrive in town to serve those in dire need of health care.
Madigan and Patty Clark, together with Mission of Mercy and the volunteer team of nurses and a pharmacist, are demonstrating God’s love for his children, young and old, sick and well, without concerns for race, religion, political views or financial status.
Local churches are providing volunteers to assist with the work to be done. Baptists, Roman Catholics and United Methodists are joining forces to serve the people. The Robstown volunteer team is led by Pat Molano.
The sites where the van provides medical clinics in the rural areas are First UMC, 804 E. Sixth St., Bishop; El Redentor UMC, 214 W. Avenue E, Robstown; and St. John of the Cross Roman Catholic Church, 200 S. Metz St., Orange Grove.
Volunteer staffers were forced to turn away some who didn’t have appointments because only one physician was available. Pray for more doctors to step out in love to heal.
